My friends, here is a little something I wrote about Elizabeth von Arnim’s blissful novel of renewal, The Enchanted April. I am in an Enchanted March right now, after jetting (!) to New York for a solo trek.

Saw: Naomi, Sarah, Ohad, the George Morrison show at the Met (great), Hilary Harnischfeger at Uffner Liu (brilliant, and delicate, and rigorous all at once), an excellent one man show about Seventh Grade Teachers at Mark Twain middle school. All in all: bliss, and reenchantment, if rainy.

I’m working on something about an old house, and I’m not sure how much is too much. I’ve been listening to Norman Greenbaum’s amazing 1969 record Petaluma. Perfectly detailed, house-full songs. You should give it a listen.
